HIS KINGDOM COME COMMUNITY BLOG HOP---TODAY!!!

Welcome to a very exciting blog hop.  Today we are celebrating the launch of a brand new online Christian Creative Community: His Kingdom Come.

This is an online Community where fellow Christians can encourage, share and learn about Christianity and explore the God-given creativity that he has put in us all.  It will be a safe place to share your faith, be inspired, and explore creativity across many art mediums - journaling, mixed media, painting, bible journaling, textiles, watercolor and more.  His Kingdom Come will offer free tutorials, technique classes, devotionals, crafts to celebrate the holidays, opportunities to go deeper in your faith and in your knowledge of God and the Bible.   The website will also offer Christian artists a platform to host classes (free or fee-based) which you will be able to sign up for.

A team of talented Christian artists have come together to launch this exciting new community.  This blog hop is your chance to get to know them.

It doesn’t matter where you start within the blog hop.   Or you can start at the beginning with Diane.  Each blog will have the complete list of participants.

Diane Marra
Bernice Hopper
Mary Brack
Marjolaine Walker
Merri Dennis
Justine Dandrea
Libbi Byrd Corson
Anita Van Hal
Shonna Bucaroff
Anita Van Hal

As you visit each blog you will be given a letter eg. D.   When you have collected all the letters they will make a word.  When you have worked out the word email Bernice, hkcbloghop@gmail.com with the word.  We will randomly choose 3 people who have the correct answer to win a prize. All entries must arrive by noon (PST) on Monday, Nov. 3.

The letter to collect from my blog is: M

Let me introduce myself and why I am part of HKC:

Brief Bio:

I am a daughter of The King, wife of 40 years, mother to two, mother in law to 2 & G'ma to 5, friend and artist. Those are the dominate beats of my heart! I've been a Christian since 1980 and have totally fallen in love with combining my art with my love of the Word through Bible Journaling.

How does your faith impact your creativity?
I know that my talent and gifts come from Him. The creation all around me is created by Him and I hope that my art brings His glory in the choices that I make in subject matter, color and medium.
Now that I am doing Bible journaling I am amazed at how much the Word is coming alive

What is your preferred medium of creativity?
Watercolor

What appeals to you about this?
The vibrancy of the colors, the ability to layer and get amazing textures.

What other areas of creativity do you dabble in?
Mixed media, doodling, Bible journaling and doodling

What is your role within the His Kingdom Come team?
Hosting the Bible Journaling group

What are your hopes for this new community?
My hopes are that the Name of Christ will be glorified and spread throughout the world by one or more element of this community. My prayer is also that those who don’t think that they have any gifts or talents will discover that, being made in the image of our Creative Father, that they have been made to be creative. That would bring further blessings to, not only the Body, but the world.

Nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to getting to know more about mixed media and art journaling through this group. I love to create, however I've been limited to poetry, song writing and the performing arts. This area is a whole new thing for me and I've been trying to figure it out. I tried my first project last night, and sadly don't like it. Anyhow, I won't give up just yet.
